BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW
Biblical integration is the cornerstone of our curriculum, presenting students with a God-centered worldview based on God’s Word, the Bible, as the standard of truth. A vital component of students' spiritual development is providing opportunities to explore and discuss the nature of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to seek meaningful answers regarding the Christian faith, and to apply biblical truth practically to all areas of daily life. In addition, students are guided in developing both skills and character, as well as moral discernment, to enhance their potential for personal success in educational and professional settings around the world.
One of the defining characteristics of Heritage Christian Academy is our commitment to cultivating a biblical worldview in our students. This commitment extends beyond students to include faculty and parents, fostering a unified, faith-driven community.
Chapel
All students at Heritage Christian Academy attend weekly chapel services which have the potential to profoundly impact their lives—not only through the messages and music but also by influencing classroom discussions and other activities throughout the week.
Elementary Chapel meets each for a time of worship and learning about God. Guest speakers, including local pastors, missionaries, and Sunday school teachers of likeminded ministries, teach God’s Word through age-appropriate illustrations, methods, and lessons.
Middle School and High School Chapel meet each Tuesday. During this time, students worship together through singing, learning about God and His Word, and are encouraged to pursue their faith wholeheartedly. These chapels also provide opportunities to hear from local pastors and representatives of like-minded ministries, who speak about Christ and share future opportunities available to our students.
Spirit Daze
At the beginning of each school year, we kick off with a time of Spiritual Emphasis through Spirit Daze. During this event, we invite a guest speaker to share on a specific spiritual theme that we aim to emphasize throughout the year. Spirit Daze also serves as a time to foster unity within the student body and provides a unique opportunity for new students to be introduced and begin building relationships with their peers.
Spiritual Emphasis Days
Throughout the school year, we set aside specific days for Spiritual Emphasis. These special days are thoughtfully planned to provide opportunities for spiritual renewal for both students and staff. Activities may include guest speakers, interactive sessions, games, and times of worship. Our goal is to create space for intentional reflection on God's Word, encouraging personal growth and a deeper faith. It is our prayer that students leave these days refreshed and strengthened in their walk with Christ.
