STUDENT LIFE

HCA offers grades Kindergarten–12th grade with the goal of providing students with a college-preparatory Christian education. Our desire is to use education as a tool to teach and train young people to love and serve Jesus Christ. We utilize a traditional, time-tested, and rigorous Christian curriculum, fostering a strong academic environment that promotes excellence and prepares students to fulfill God’s will for their lives.

In addition to academics, the school sponsors fine arts competitions, music programs, and athletic opportunities, encouraging students to exalt Christ through their God-given talents, abilities, and skills.

    Students
At Heritage Christian Academy, service is viewed as a key expression of Christian character. Students in grades 7–12 are required to complete volunteer service hours each year. These hours must be unpaid and not for academic credit. 7th–8th Grade: 10 hours per year (3 must be school event-related) 9th–12th Grade: 15 hours per year (5 must be school event-related) Eligible service opportunities include school fundraisers, concession stands, community service, church involvement, teacher assistance (non-credit), and helping non-relatives at home. Students who exceed the minimum will earn a service pin and may qualify for the Citizenship Award. All hours must be documented using the official form and submitted to the office. For questions about what qualifies, students should contact the office.

    Parents
At Heritage Christian Academy, we value strong partnerships with our parents. Family involvement is essential to a successful school year, and service hours are a key way to support our school community and programs. Each family is required to complete a minimum of 5 service hours per school year. Service opportunities include assisting with events (e.g., Veterans Program, Golf Tournament), preparing fundraiser materials, making phone calls, helping teachers, supervising lunch or recess, cleaning, maintenance, and more. Hours must be recorded on the provided form and submitted to the office.

    One-to-One

A key goal of our One-to-One Program is to foster exploration and enhance engagement by empowering students and preparing them for success in a global community. To support this goal, we have implemented a policy designed to promote a safe online learning environment, teach digital responsibility, and hold students accountable for their technology use. This policy is available in the Enrollment Packet or by contacting the school office.
