Transfer Students

As a Christian school with small student-teacher ratios, Heritage Christian provides a unique opportunity for students who need to enroll mid-year, at any grade level. For many students changing schools is not an easy transition. Our ministry-minded teachers provide the love and attention that your child needs to makes the transition as smooth as possible. Our desire is to reduce the level of anxiety for your child – and for you.

We begin the process by encouraging families to come for an Educational Success Consultation, followed by a tour during the school day. This serves to help you and your child see the school in action and also provides you with the opportunity to see if Heritage is a good fit for your child and family.

We also offer students in grades 4-12 the opportunity to “shadow” at school for a few hours – or even a whole day – connecting your child with one of our students to be a guide and companion. Our teachers will be prepared with a space for your child in class. Your child will begin to quickly feel the love and acceptance we all experience here at Heritage.

School Board members are also available to meet with you and your student and to answer any questions about our program. This is a great opportunity to learn about the heart and mission of our school.

Busing for HCA students is available from numerous local school districts, including: Cumberland Valley, West Shore, Mechanicsburg, Northern York, Harrisburg, Steelton-Highspire, Susquehannah Township, Susquenita, Central Dauphin, East Pennsboro, and South Middleton. Should your child enroll in HCA mid-year, inquire at the office for additional information regarding transportation options.
