WHY HERITAGE
Overview
Heritage Christian Academy (formerly Emmanuel Baptist Christian Academy) is located in Mechanicsburg, PA, just off Rt. 581. For over forty years we have been providing a quality Christian education to young people from the Harrisburg – Hershey – Carlisle area. Our students come from Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, New Cumberland, Lemoyne, and beyond.
While Heritage Christian Academy is a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church, students do not need to be members of Emmanuel Baptist Church, nor do they need to be Baptists to attend HCA.
HCA offers grades K3-12 to give our students a college-preparatory education.
We desire to use the tool of education to teach and to train young people
to love and to serve Jesus Christ.
Our curriculum is primarily from A Beka Books, Bob Jones University Press, and Positive Action for Christ (Bible class), and other select publishers.
Heritage Christian Academy is a member of the Keystone Christian Education Association (KCEA), an association of Christian schools from across the state of Pennsylvania. This membership provides HCA and the students of HCA with opportunities that assist us in the educational process and co-curricular enrichment opportunities, such as All-State Choir, Fine Arts Festivals, Bible Quizzing, and sports tournaments.
